lost, found, and my imagination

I am very pleased to announce to the entire blogger world that I peachy-keen am back. And since I owe you all an explenation for why I have so extremly tardy I willl take this time to tell you all. You see one day I went out for a walk. Well it wasn't very long until I realized that it was getting late, so I headed back the way I came. Well you all know that I am directionally challenged and when I passed the same tree the 13th time it finally occurred to me that I was lost. So as the darkness drew nearer and nearer my sight grew dimmer and dimmer AND THEN ... suddenly before I realized I had stumbled across a group of... (Hold your breath)...gypsies! Yes, the wildest group of them in Alabama. Well actually probably the only group. But anyway, before I could run away one of them saw me and in fear that I would give away their hiding place they abducted me. Which is crazy in and of itself seeing as I didn't know where I was nether the less find my way home and tell some one else where they were. But they didn't listen to this and took me with them anyway. At first they kept me chained up in a wagon but then when one of there expectant women drew very near the arrival they needed the place in the wagon to put her so I was tied to the back of the wagon and made to walk. So after a week of this their captain who had been out on a mission, returned. And after seeing me and inquiring why I was there he decided he was going to marry me! I was in a terrible scrap, but you see they really didn't care what I thought about the arrangement so it looked as if I was going to be the wife of a gypsy captain. Well as the wedding day approached I grew very sick, so sick in fact that they all thought I was going to die. So in fear of losing his future bride the captain broke down and took me to a doctor. Well actually he brought the doctor to me. At this point I was completely out of it, I was delirious and in a coma. I didn't even know there was a doctor there. So to my great surprise when I awoke it was to see the very kind very handsome face of the doctor looking anxiously at me. Well when he realized that I was awake he flew to my bed and checked my fever and did all the things you would expect a doctor to do. But very wisely he did not inform the captain that I was awake so we had a few minuts to talk. After I told him my story he knelt beside my bed and said..."If I can get us both out of here safely, (and then to my great surprise he continued) will you marry me," and he explained that as he sat by my bed day in day out he slowly began to fall in love with me. As I looked into his face so full of love I knew the only answer I could ever give him and I said ...yes. So immediately he set to work devising a plan for us both to escape. After a few minutes of pacing back in forth he said,"Lay back my darling and pretend to be asleep and if anyone comes near you hold your breath. And with that he rushed out of the room. He later told me he had told the captain that I had died, for in a few minutes several people rushed into the room and leaned over me. And then as they backed away I heard them talking: Captain:Are you sure she is dead! Doctor: yes quite sure, and if you will allow I would like to take her back with me and give her a proper burial. Captain: Yes you may do that we have no use for her now. And then they all left. That night the doctor came in, wrapped me up in several blanket from head to toe and laid me gently in what I later found to be a wagon. And we rode safely out of the camp. Several miles down the rode the doctor stopped and jumping into the back of the wagon quickly unwrapped me. Three days later he left me at a hospital where he knew I would be attended to and with the promise of coming back when I was 18 he left. So now I wear the ring of my beloved doctor with the hop that someday He will return.

See now I could have told you that I had been really busy. But that is really boring. So you are now welcome to believe what ever you would like
