A waste of postage...I mean a wasted post
Well I reckon it's past time for me to be a postin' on this here piece o' technology.
And indeed it is! I wrote a poem with intentions of posting that piece of scrap paper as I like to call it here but you shall have to wait for that as well. (What are you waiting on for you to have to wait on that as well???) Anyway, don't you get tickled when little kids (children, not goats) say something funny, or remember something you've long forgotten! Just the other day my younger cousin Madison remembered that one of my eldest sister's friends gave her 25 points for hula-hooping... The hula-hooping itself took place weeks before! Well that is all I shall say about that.
That very friend (the one that gave Madison 25 points for her fantastic skills with the hoop) told my family the other night about an exchange student that was attending her school and a few of the interesting happenings during Phina's (I guess that's how you spell her name...It's German) stay here in the states. Before Phina came to this state, She went to New York for a class informing her and several other exchange students of things we say that they wouldn't understand. Such as, "See you later!" If we said that to someone who had just learned English, they would expect to really see us later that evening. For example, American southerner probably :-) : We'll see y'all later! Phina: What time?
They might answer with something like that. It's true when you think about it.
Speaking of foreigners coming to the states, Obey a member of a pb church near us is, came over from Tanzania, and will be leaving soon. :-( please be in prayer for him and his family in Africa.
Anyway, my fondest memory of him would have to be this...
Rachel my friend had sunglasses on her head used as a head band and Obey came up to us and said "Rachel! I did not know that you wore glosses!" (you have to hear his accent!) So Rachel said, "Oh! These aren't glasses for my sight, they are sun glasses to block the sun." Obey turned to me and said, "Oh I see." "Marjoniqua, do you have sun glosses too?" It was SO funny! It would have been much funnier for you if you had heard his deep African accent.
Well I suppose that's all for now. Be good girls and boys! (AND DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT :-))
